The OAEC optical amplifier is designed for adding RF overlay signals to PON networks. Thanks to the redundancy capabilities of the powering and optical input it provides excellent robustness. This is completed by the remote management done via either SNMP or Web based interfaces in order to set and check the most important working parameters, such as input and output optical powers, powering and cooling status, pump laser currents or temperatures.
The device can be powered either by -48 V DC or by 230 V AC – the power supply can be changed by the user providing the highest flexibility.
