The optical segmentation of the HFC networks causes higher and higher number of splitters and combiners at the headend. It is hard to build a clear-cut signal organization network from discrete parts since the connections of the SDA, to the monitoring system and to the monitoring gateway in the return path and local TV channels in the forward path must be handled. To overcome this problem on behalf of our Hungarian customers COMTECH has designed signal organization units into 1U high boxes. HRFM-OR8-T is one of the customized return path signal organizers.
