As a result of the bandwidth expansion implemented to achieve higher data speeds and access to more television channels, attenuation fluctuations in coaxial cables—caused by temperature changes—become more significant and reach levels that are no longer acceptable. Consequently, an automatic level/slope control circuit must be integrated into the system.
COMTECH Kft. played an active role in upgrading a network—built using Motorola BLE amplifiers—from 750 MHz to 1 GHz. As part of this project, we developed the ADU609-M control module to ensure a consistent (near-constant) output level across the entire frequency range.
