The OAEX optical amplifier is designed for adding RF overlay signals to XGS-PON networks. Thanks to the redundancy capabilities of the powering excellent robustness is available. This is completed by the remote management done via either SNMP or Web based interfaces in order to set and check the most important working parameters, such as input and output optical powers, powering and cooling status, pump laser currents or temperatures.
The device is powered by –48 V DC based on the proven telecom standard for high availability in CATV networks.
