Flexible network monitoring gateway for HMS and SMC protocols

The HMS/SMC monitoring gateway used by many european CATV service providers become obsolete. A large German company intended to use it also in the future, so the decision-makers started to find an alternative solution. They started a common work with COMTECH in order to find out what kind of features the new gateway should have. Beside the standard protocols the customer needed modern services too, like power redundancy, flexible configurable hardware from the side of transmitter and receiver modules as well as web GUI. The testing and fine tuning of the hardware and software was made together with the customer company's engineers. The result is customer satisfaction and a product that in more European countries very popular is.
